Deon Health is a specialty managed care organization built from the ground up to serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
We partner with experienced local HCBS providers through joint ventures, combining their deep clinical expertise, community relationships, and provider networks with our managed care infrastructure—including care coordination platforms, actuarial capabilities, regulatory compliance, and health plan operations. These partnerships enable us to offer states specialized managed care solutions designed specifically for I/DD populations, while also partnering with existing health plans to manage carved-out I/DD segments of their Medicaid membership.
Traditional managed care models have underserved the I/DD population, with misaligned incentives driving fragmented care, poor outcomes, and unsustainable costs. Deon addresses this through limited-risk managed care arrangements, shared governance structures, and technology-enabled care coordination that aligns incentives across states, providers, families, and payers. We bring specialized expertise to a population that deserves purpose-built solutions—not one-size-fits-all approaches designed for broader Medicaid populations.
